Lebanon’s surface is 10,452 square kilometres with a coastline of 225 km on the Mediterranean sea.
The Capital is Beirut, one of the oldest cities in the world inhabited more than 5000 years ago.
The climate is Mediterranean and moderate. The weather in the coastal cities is in general cool and rainy during winters and hot and humid during summers. Climate is cold followed with heavy snows on the higher mountaintops.

Among the oldest countries of wine production in the world, Lebanon production increased in the last years to reach more than 30 wineries across the country. Most of them are located in the Bekaa Valley and it is common to offer their visitors a free tour and tasting.
